Tips for Winning Online Sweepstakes & Contests

You can improve your chances of winning an online sweepstakes or contest by following a few tips.

Don't delete your email so fast. Almost every online sweepstakes or contest requires the winner to respond to an email or certified letter in order to win. In your rush to delete spam, you could be deleting your email notification. Also, take time to pick up that certified mail from the post office.

Provide accurate contact information. Several of our winner notifications are forfeited due to an incorrect mailing address or email address.

Enter often. Most sweepstakes allow you to enter once per day. Doing so greatly increases your chances of winning.

Check your email filters or rules. Your email filters may be keeping out sweepstakes notifications or announcements by blocking email with keywords such as "Win" or "You've Won" or similar phrases. Adjust your filters and rules accordingly.

Do not enter for yourself, your spouse, your kids and your dog. Most sweepstakes prohibit entering on behalf of others. A good rule of thumb is to enter just the allowed number of times with one person's information from one single computer.

Get an email address specifically for sweeping. This is another safeguard against accidentally deleting important emails or announcements from the various sweepstakes you enter.

Type, if you're entering by mail. If you want to enter a sweepstakes by postcard instead of online, this is okay. But you'd be surprised how many postcards show up that are illegible or don't provide contact information such as address or telephone number. Improve your chances of winning – and of being notified of winning – by typing your postcard and providing complete contact information.

Drawing and Awarding of Sweepstakes Prize. A random drawing will be made of all eligible and correctly completed entries received during the Promotion Period. Winner will be notified by e-mail or by certified mail, return receipt requested, within ten (10) days of the drawing. Winner will be required to complete and return an affidavit of eligibility and a liability and publicity release within fourteen (14) days of attempted delivery. Failure to comply with these Official Rules, failure to execute and return the required documents within 14 days of attempted delivery or the return of the prize notification as undeliverable, will result in awarding the prize to an alternate winner. If alternate winner fails to comply with these Official Rules, fails to execute and return the required documents within 14 days of attempted delivery or if prize notification delivered to the alternate winner is returned as undeliverable, the prize will be forfeited and no additional alternate winners will be drawn. All taxes are the responsibility of the winner. Entry constitutes permission to post winner's name on the Sponsor's website and the use of the winner's name and hometown for purposes of advertising without further compensation unless prohibited by law. By accepting the prize, winner agrees that Sponsor, its affiliates, distributors, advertising and promotional agencies and suppliers and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents shall have no liability for, and shall hold all such parties harmless against damage, loss or injury that may arise in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of prizes or participation in this Sweepstakes. The winning prize is offered through multiple web sites. Offer void where prohibited.
